I know I should have posted this yesterday, but I literally wasn't near a computer more than about 5 minutes at a time yesterday. I weighed 203 yesterday morning. I maintained.

It's pretty dissappointing, but not a huge surprise. This week was super rough emotionally since we had to put down our oldest dog. After that, I found that I was snacking a lot in an effort to comfort myself. And, no, it didn't comfort me.

Some good little snacks that I've been enjoying:

small handful of mixed nuts
sugar free jello
raw veggies and ranch (I've been having cabbage and carrots lately)
light popcorn (watch your serving size on this one)
string cheese
sugar free pudding

Any one else have good snack ideas?

Well, I weighed 203 lbs. this morning. That's right, I'm over 200 lbs. again. I'm mad at myself for letting that happen. Oh well, time to change that. I got a spa gift certificate for Christmas that I'm not going to let myself use until I'm under 190 lbs. That should help motivate me! Gary is starting a new weight loss commitment today too. He lost some weight this fall but put a few pounds back on during the holidays.

Long time, no update. I had an extremely stressful quarter this fall followed by the holidays. So, yes, I ended up gaining a few pounds. Next quarter actually looks worse stress wise, but I'm determined to lose some weight anyway. So, I will weigh in again starting tomorrow and start a new effort to kick these pounds. Stay tuned!

I woke up this morning and weighed and I weighed 199 lbs! I am under the 200 lb. mark! This is an amazing milestone for me. I have officially lost 47 lbs. since I started this journey in late January. Gary has never seen me under 200 lbs. before. Eleven years ago when we met I was 200 lbs. Now I am slightly smaller than that!

Here's hoping that my journey down to 150 lbs. is as swift as my journey to 199 lbs. (I doubt it will be, but one can hope!)

Yesterday afternoon I had a doctor's appointment . Six months ago I was diagnosed as pre-diabetic. I had high "bad cholesterol" and low "good cholesterol". My blood sugar levels were high and apparently my liver was showing signs of stress.

Well, since then I've lost 45 lbs. and today's visit showed that all my levels are now in the normal range. I'm no longer considered pre-diabetic and my cholesterol levels look great! My liver is also looking much better!

Hallelujah!

Now I just need to concentrate on getting the rest of this weight off. Gary and I are planning on working out tonight after dinner.

205 lbs. this morning. Gaining a pound makes me sad, but I understand it. I haven't been able to get my mind off of food these last few days. Hopefully today will be better.

Gary went with me to the Y to work out a couple of days last week. I hope he goes with me some this week too. I told him that I would love for us to get in good enough shape to play tennis with each other. I'm horrible at tennis and he's pretty good at it. So I'm hoping he will give me some lessons.

I also would love for us to go golfing together. Maybe we can golf some when we're in Hilton Head this August.

204 lbs. this morning. No, I didn't achieve my goal of being under 200 lbs. by the time I went to the Beach in June. But I did lose 4 lbs. since my last weigh in 3 weeks ago.

I didn't weigh in last week because we were at Garden City Beach, SC (a few minutes south of Myrtle Beach). I didn't cheat on my diet one bit. I can't believe I was so strong! Lots of broiled fish and veggies.

My Grandma Randall died while we were on vacation. She had been sick for a few months so we packed our suits just in case. Good thing we did. She was my last living grandparent and we were pretty close. I helped her make the dressing every year at Thanksgiving and Christmas. She was a great lady and I miss her so much. Her obituary is here: http://www.greenvilleonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/section?Category=OBITUARIES&pagename=obittext&id=107932

208 lbs. I lost one pound. I'm glad I had a loss this week, but I was hoping for a bigger loss. I've been running like crazy this week. I'm training to run a 5K on Labor Day. Maybe I'll see a more significant loss next week.
